Leanboat Studio for LinkedIn

Leanboat Studio publishes to LinkedIn, either a company page or your own profile. You choose which at the moment you connect, and each post is written for a professional feed rather than resized from an Instagram carousel. As on every channel, nothing publishes until you have approved it.

A page or a profile, your choice

When you connect, LinkedIn hands back the company pages you administer, and Studio offers your own profile alongside them. You pick one. A company page is the right answer for a business; your own profile is the right answer when the brand is you.

They are different permissions underneath, so it is worth knowing which one you picked. What Studio does with either is the same: it publishes what you have approved, and nothing else.

Why the post isn’t the carousel

LinkedIn rewards a different shape than Instagram: a first line that earns the click on “see more”, a paragraph that tells a professional reader something they did not already know, and a point rather than a caption. Taking an Instagram carousel, resizing it and posting it here is why so many company pages read as an afterthought.

So the same week produces a different post for LinkedIn. Same brand file, same subject matter, written for the feed it lands in.

What connecting does

  • It publishes to the page or profile you selected, and only that one.
  • It reads that account’s performance, which is what feeds the next plan.
  • It does not publish without your approval.
  • It posts, and that is all. No connecting, messaging, endorsing or engaging with anyone on your behalf.

Where this is today

Company pages are live in production: there are brands on the engine publishing to theirs right now. Personal profiles are connectable, and we have no brand publishing to one yet, so we list it as available rather than proven. LinkedIn as a whole carries far less volume than Instagram, and we would rather say that than imply a scale that is not there.

LinkedIn questions.

Yes, to a company page or to your own profile. You choose which when you connect, and every post carries your approval before it publishes.

A page that isn't quiet.

Connect your company page and your first week of drafts is waiting for your approval.
