Studio Answers Brand voice

How does an AI write in my brand's voice?

By working from a brand file rather than a general model of good writing. In Leanboat Studio, every account gets its own file, built from that brand’s website, its recent posts and its visual style, and every draft is generated from that file and nothing else. You can read it and correct it.

What a brand file is

It’s a document about one brand, and it is the only thing a draft is generated from. Four things go into it:

Your websiteWhat you sell, how you describe it, the words you use for your own products, and the things you never say.
Your recent postsHow you already sound on your own account: sentence length, how formal you are, what you open with, what you never post about.
Your visual styleColour, type and image treatment, taken from your site and your feed rather than chosen for you.
What you told usSix questions at signup: your brand, your goal, your audience, your identity, your style, your plan.

You can read it, and change it

The file starts as a draft. You open it, correct anything that’s wrong, and confirm it. It stays editable for as long as you’re on the engine, so when the way you talk about yourself changes, you change the file rather than filing a request.

This matters more than it sounds. A brand voice that lives in a person’s head can’t be corrected, only complained about. One that lives in a document can be read, argued with, and fixed in a sentence.

Why two brands don’t come out alike

Because there is no house style underneath. Three brands on the engine, all published in the same week: an Amalfi Coast operator writing in English with heavy condensed capitals over water; a British Columbia tour company in cool greens with a fact in every headline; a cooking school in A Coruña with serif headlines, market photography and Spanish throughout, down to the Galician place names their customers use.

Same engine. Nothing about those three rhymes, because nothing about their brand files does.

It gets more like you over time

Each week’s results are written back into the file: which hooks your audience saved, which formats they shared, which subjects brought followers. The file you have in month three knows things the file in week one didn’t, and those things are about your audience specifically.

Rejections teach it too. When you turn a draft down and say why, that goes in the same file.
