How much can two tours carry?

Brew Bus Amsterdam has two bookable tours and an audience of 588, and the question was whether a catalogue that small could hold up a daily account.

The operator runs beer tours across three Amsterdam breweries. The whole catalogue is two tours, which is the smallest we have worked from, and everything on the account has to come out of those two.

We were asked to keep the account alive without asking for anything new. No shoot, no brief, no extra hour. The challenge was to turn two tours into a run of posts that did not repeat themselves, and to leave the operator with a single decision: approve, or do not.

What did Leanboat Studio do?

Leanboat Studio built 16 Instagram posts from Brew Bus Amsterdam’s own tours and photographs and published them on Brew Bus Amsterdam’s own account, across 77 days.

  1. Read the catalogue. 2 tours from the operator's booking platform, 2 bookable, photographs included. We asked the operator for nothing new.
  2. Composed one post per experience. 14 single images, 2 carousels and 0 stories. No video, no reels.
  3. Sent every post for approval. Approval was the operator's only job, and nothing went out without it.
  4. Published on the operator's own account, each post carrying one keyword.
  5. Answered the keyword by direct message. A follower who comments the keyword is asking for the booking link, so a comment on this account is a request rather than applause.

How was this measured?

Leanboat Studio compares two equal windows, and for this operator it uses only the part of each figure that Instagram attributes to organic content rather than to ads.

Before12 Apr to 27 Jun 2026
After28 Jun to 12 Sep 2026

77 days rather than 90, because that is the whole time this operator has been live.

This operator began advertising during our window. Ad reach was 0 before and 1,051 after, against totals of 300 and 2,216, so the totals are not ours to claim and the organic split is what is reported.

What were the results?

Account interactions rose 378 percent, from 63 to 301, while likes rose 355 percent across the same window.

What this does not show

  • The operator started advertising during our window, 0 before and 1,051 after. Total reach is disclosed and not claimed.
  • 588 followers and 1,165 people reached organically. Small account, small absolutes, and a catalogue of two tours to draw from.
  • Six people asked for the booking link and every one of the six sends failed. Nobody received anything, so no conclusion about demand should be drawn from the zero that follows it. That is our system failing rather than anything about this audience.
  • The account stopped publishing on 18 August, three and a half weeks before the window closed.
  • A comparison around a start date is not a controlled trial.

Is this typical, or is it the best case?

Leanboat Studio does not publish a cohort comparison yet, so this page cannot tell you where Brew Bus Amsterdam sits against every other operator.

There was one here, and it came down. It was assembled from a sweep across every partner at once, and a sweep is exactly the thing that hides a bad figure inside an average. Every partner is now being read end to end on its own page, and a median goes back up only once that is true of all of them.

Until then, read this as one operator’s result. It is not an average and it is not a promise about your account.
