What does a tour operator post about, when the tours are already listed?

Agadir Journey had 54 tours priced and photographed on a booking platform, and nobody whose week had an hour spare to turn any of them into posts.

The operator sells days out of Agadir: camels along the Atlantic, the cable car above the bay, three-day runs to Essaouira and Marrakech. All 54 of them were already on a booking platform, photographed and priced.

We were asked to keep the account alive without asking for anything new. No shoot, no brief, no extra hour in a week that did not have one. The challenge was to turn a catalogue that already existed into daily presence, and to leave the operator with a single decision: approve, or do not.

What did Leanboat Studio do?

Leanboat Studio built 34 Instagram posts from Agadir Journey’s own tours and photographs and published them on Agadir Journey’s own account, across 77 days.

  1. Read the catalogue. 54 tours from the operator's booking platform, 54 bookable, photographs included. We asked the operator for nothing new.
  2. Composed one post per experience. 23 single images, 7 carousels and 4 stories. No video, no reels.
  3. Sent every post for approval. Approval was the operator's only job, and nothing went out without it.
  4. Published on the operator's own account, each post carrying one keyword.
  5. Answered the keyword by direct message. A follower who comments the keyword is asking for the booking link, so a comment on this account is a request rather than applause.

Four of the 34 posts, the most recent the account published.

How was this measured?

Leanboat Studio compares two equal windows, the days before an operator's first post and the same number after it, using Instagram's own account insights.

Before12 Apr to 27 Jun 2026
After28 Jun to 12 Sep 2026

77 days rather than 90, because that is the whole time this operator has been live. Stretching the before window without stretching the after would flatter the result.

This account ran no advertising in either window. Instagram's own breakdown reports zero reach from ads on both sides, so organic and total are the same figure and nothing here needed separating.

What were the results?

Account comments went from none at all to 47, while interactions rose 2443 percent across the same window.

What this does not show

  • The baseline is thin. 98 people reached in eleven weeks is an account that had effectively stopped, and 98 to 595 is the claim rather than the percentage it implies.
  • 458 followers and 595 people reached. This is a small account. It got louder; it did not get big.
  • Six people asked for the booking link and none of them clicked it. Instagram does not report bookings, so there is no booking claim here.
  • Taps on the profile link halved, 4 to 2, and shares fell from 2 to 1.
  • A comparison around a start date is not a controlled trial. Read it as what happened around the start.

Is this typical, or is it the best case?

Leanboat Studio does not publish a cohort comparison yet, so this page cannot tell you where Agadir Journey sits against every other operator.

There was one here, and it came down. It was assembled from a sweep across every partner at once, and a sweep is exactly the thing that hides a bad figure inside an average. Every partner is now being read end to end on its own page, and a median goes back up only once that is true of all of them.

Until then, read this as one operator’s result. It is not an average and it is not a promise about your account.
